This year's Pajus Distinguished visitor, Professor Sarah Kay, will present a lecture-concert entitled "From the Outer Spheres to the Inner Senses: Breath, Voice and Spectacle in Medieval Song" with the early music ensemble Concordian Dawn (directed by Christopher Preston Thompson), who will perform a variety of pieces from the mid-12th to the late-14th centuries around the theme of "imaginary song." Professor Kay will challenge assumptions about singing, and listening to or hearing song, by stressing their inner, imaginary dimension.
