Lauren Dixon completed her B.A. in French and Mathematics at Duke University in 2013, graduating with highest honors and the James Rolleston prize. After a year in Normandy with the TAPIF program, she was awarded an M.A. in French in 2016 by UC Berkeley. Lauren was selected as Berkeley's exchange candidate at the Ecole normale supérieure (Paris) for 2018-2019. She is currently working on a doctoral dissertation using dance in Gautier, Baudelaire and Mallarmé as a lens to re-consider each poet's relationship to the modern body.
