Kathryn is a Ph.D. candidate in French with a Designated Emphasis in Women and Gender Studies.  She received her B.A. in French and English from Mount Holyoke College in 2007 and her M.A. in French from UC Berkeley in 2011.  She works on 12th century Old French romance, and her research interests include Abelard and Heloise, Marie de France, Christine de Pizan’s Cent Ballades d’amant et de dame, the many versions of the Tristan legend, and reception of medieval literature in the 19th and 20th centuries.  She has taught French 1-4 and R1A courses in French and Comparative Literature.
