Apr. 9-16: Simon Gaunt, 2019 Pajus Distinguished Visitor

Please join us in welcoming Simon Gaunt of King’s College London as our 2019 Pajus Distinguished Visitor!

Tuesday, April 9th, Professor Gaunt will give a lecture entitled “Babel and the Language(s) of Universal History in the Middle Ages” at 5 p.m. in the French Department Library (4229 Dwinelle).

Friday, April 12th, a roundtable will be held on “Supralocal Literary Cultures before the Nation-State” with Nasser Meerkhan and Diego Pirillo of UC Berkeley, and Marisa Galvez of Stanford, from 12-2 p.m. in the Geballe Room (220 Stephens Hall).  Lunch will be served at 12, and the roundtable will begin at 12:30.

Tuesday, April 16th, Professor Gaunt will hold a seminar for graduate students and faculty, “Doing Digital Research in Literary Studies,” from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in 4125A Dwinelle Hall.
