Feb. 14: Lecture and Seminar, Andrew Counter

Please join us for a lecture by Andrew Counter of the University of Oxford, entitled “Wilde, Zola, Dreyfus, Christ: Fin-de-siècle Passions” on Thursday, February 14, at 4 p.m. in the French Department Library (4229 Dwinelle).  A copy of his book, The Amorous Restoration: Love, Sex, and Politics in Early Nineteenth-Century France, is currently on reserve in the library.

A seminar for graduate students will be held the following day, Friday, February 15th, in 4125A Dwinelle from noon to 1:30.  Two short background readings are available from mlucey@berkeley.edu and are also on reserve in the French Department Library.
